ABOUT THE ARTIST
Denise's interest in drawing
and painting began at the early age of four. At age ten, Denise's mother enrolled her at the Verve Art Studio in Detroit,
Michigan. She studied for four years under renowned sculptor and painter, Nancy Profitt. Oil painting on canvas was her
specialty.
Throughout the years, Denise had kept this special gift of painting a secret. After the tragedy of 9/11,
she grieved along with the entire country. Her desire to heal and give back to the community was her focus. At that time,
many people found comfort and safety in their homes, so she decided to paint those homes on plates. Currently, it is her
most requested custom piece. By using fine brushes and a tapestry of color, she's able to enhance all those special little
details that people treasure. The preservation of family memories and nature's beauty is her passion.
Denise has earned
many accolades for her work. Hallmark was one of the first companies to award her a blue ribbon for design. In 2003, her
paintings gained national recognition when she collaborated with a product developer. This teamwork awarded her the cover
of a national publication.
Denise's dream is to share her artwork worldwide. You can find her work in several art
galleries and boutiques in Michigan. The artist's message is "Surround yourself with beautiful things, then beautiful things
will happen to you."
